We recently visited The Ocean Grill to celebrate our good friend Marc’s 50+ birthday with a group of Punta Mita friends – Lisa, Miguel, Mariana, Rick,Sally, Mike, Cassie, Lynne, JP, Katia, Jason, Ana Paulo, Joan, Julieta, Pepe, Jon, Susan around 22 of us! It was a fun day , the company was fun, the water was perfect and the Ocean Grill was fantastic. I recommend this as an outing one must do when down this part of the world. FYI you can only get there by boat and the restaurant is open Wednesday thru Monday and they do 3 seatings @ 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Tel (322) 223.73.15 and they take cash only. All main courses come off a solid charcoal grill. The service is efficient and friendly and the setting is just beautiful. I tried a number of the dishes and loved these 3:

The Octopus which was Tender on the inside, crunchy on the outside with their signature Kalamata Tapenada on a bed of sauteed potatoes with paprika and herbs. Have this dish either as a starter of main course but make sure you try it!! I just loved Smoked Marlin Tostadas– Two delicious corn tostadas topped with their smoked Marlin blend and the classic Scallop Aguachile which is Bathed in lime, cucumber, and chile serrano – certainly a spicy starter. It was a great day – well be going back.
