Golf — my list of courses played as of May 2014 · 112 Courses in 16 Countries

Not long ago golfing with a mate from São Paulo Doug Munro he suggested I do my list out of curiosity and voila here it is. Golf has been a wonderful game for me – the source of many wonderful friends from my early days in Fiji and my childhood mate Mark Ragg (RIP 94), my old view mates Dan and David. I regret not having played more as a young man however so be it! In those early days we would play intermittenly however that changed when I arrived in Acapulco. Since around ’99 golf has become an important part of my life and has afforded me many good mates from Gerardo Estua, Matteoni, Sergio Olvera, Antonio Palazuelos in Acapulco, Roberto Engels and the Borns in Punta del Este, Ronnie Trussi, Diego Bruno Quijano en Bs As, John Pacey, Fabrice Meyer and many others in Sao Paulo including the Comado da Madrugada, Lito Nicastro, Jose Vega, Descole and more in Mendoza and today Marcelo Lopez, Arturo my coach and more in Punta Mita!

I have had the opportunity to play with and become a good friend of Lorena Ochoa, now a mate of Corey Pavin and played with LPGA players Paula Creamer and Jessica Korda in the LPGA Lorena Ochoa invitational.

One hole in one in Acapulco, organised a number of golf tournaments in all the destinations I have worked – golf has always offered us the ideal platform for friendship, fun and business – one cannot ask for more.
Today I am where I am thanks to a recommendation by a golf mate in São Paulo, Tatiana got a traineeship through another golf mate, and the stories go on and on and I look forward to sharing these stories on my blog. For a hotelier running a hotel with 2 Jack Nicklaus golf courses golf is indeed part of the day in the life of this hotelier today! Back to the driving range!!
