In 2013, I had the privilege of creating a concept designed to integrate and showcase the rich culinary heritage of Punta Mita: “Flavors of Punta Mita.” At that time, as General Manager of the St. Regis Punta Mita, my vision was to offer a space where the culinary community of this beautiful destination could blend with the hotel experience and the homeowner community. I wanted to provide local restaurants with a platform at the start of the tourist season to share their creations, welcome visitors and residents, and highlight the unique flavors that make Punta Mita truly special.

Today, eleven years later, “Flavors of Punta Mita” has become a classic on the destination’s event calendar. This event is much more than a simple tasting; it is the kickoff to the annual season in Punta Mita, where nearly 15 of the region’s best restaurants gather at the golf driving range to offer an unforgettable experience. Live music, commemorative altars honoring the Day of the Dead, top-tier mixology featuring Patrón tequila and raicilla, and a vibrant atmosphere celebrate the very essence of Punta Mita.

The 2024 edition was no exception. Thanks to the impeccable direction of Verónica and Steph, my team has managed to perfect every detail, maintaining the essence of the event and its original mission. To the restaurants that participated this year, my gratitude for your dedication, creativity, and passion for gastronomy. May you have a successful and flavorful season.

En 2013, tuve el privilegio de crear un concepto destinado a integrar y resaltar la riqueza gastronómica de Punta Mita: “Flavors of Punta Mita”. En ese momento, como Gerente General del St. Regis Punta Mita, mi visión era ofrecer un espacio donde la comunidad culinaria de este hermoso destino pudiera fusionarse con la experiencia de nuestro hotel y la comunidad de propietarios. Quise brindar a los restaurantes de la zona una plataforma al inicio de la temporada turística para compartir sus creaciones, recibir a los visitantes y residentes, y mostrar los sabores únicos que hacen de Punta Mita un lugar verdaderamente especial.

Hoy, once años después, “Flavors of Punta Mita” se ha consolidado como un clásico en el calendario de eventos del destino. Este evento es mucho más que una simple degustación; es el punto de partida de la temporada anual en Punta Mita, donde cerca de 15 de los mejores restaurantes de la región se dan cita en el driving range de golf para ofrecer una experiencia inolvidable. La música en vivo, los altares conmemorativos en honor al Día de Muertos, la mixología de alto nivel con tequila Patrón y raicilla, y un ambiente vibrante celebran la esencia misma de Punta Mita.

La edición de 2024 no fue la excepción. Gracias a la dirección impecable de Verónica y Steph, mi equipo ha logrado perfeccionar cada detalle, manteniendo la esencia del evento y su misión original. A los restaurantes que participaron este año, mi agradecimiento por su dedicación, creatividad y pasión por la gastronomía. Que tengan una temporada exitosa y llena de sabor.
