Here in the Zuccardi Vineyards in Mendoza back in 2006 sipping on some sparkling after grapepicking and about to begin the final Asado amongst those that made the inaugural Masters of Food & Wine South America a reality. Great friends, great Chefs in a wonderful destination that is Mendoza – the success of any event is not only in the planning and creation however a big part is due to the spirit that is created by those that participate. The passion with which they go about their job; the flexibility they demonstrate; the amount of active participation they do in and around the event. The inaugural MF&W in Mendoza was a great success and I thank these 4 good friends and great chefs for helping that dream become a reality. Today Paola runs without doubt my favourite resto in São Paulo and where I recently spent my 50th birthday with my girls. Trocca as I fondly call him is a global chef  es executive chef of Gaucho Restaurants as well as being a partner of one my favs in Buenos Aires. I am not exactly sure where Christophe is after is wonderful stint at Nomi at  the Park Hyatt Chicago – my friend Achim mentioned in Switzerland with a catering company but I will track him down! And Pablo Massey celebrity chef in argentina and a fun man.
