In the magic setting of a Mexican palapa a dramatic precedent for fanciful, shareable Japan-Asian fare inspired by multiple traditions. Sushi, nigiri , dim sum, noodle soups, bowls, seafood and house specialties join a bevy of elegant wines and specialty cocktails on a menu made to suit any celebration.
This is the latest concept we created in Punta Mita using a great space that had been unused for years except in special events with the motive being to offer our visitors another dining option in Punta Mita and something different from other offerings. Most importantly was to combine a quality culinary offering in a great ambience something I believe we achieved much like we have done at Sufito , El Surf Club , renovating Pacifico Beach Club , Sufi Ocean Club all projects we have completed over the last few years. It is indeed gratifying to see the results – it is never plug and play on the contrary we have constantly tweeked the concept until we hit what we feel is the right spot – menu, music, service, cocktails, lighting, plants, etc etc and the list goes on such is the complexity of the Restaurant business.
I had the pleasure of working with Yasuo Asai when we opened Kinu at the Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo in 2001 – he is our consultant and with whom we have branded this latest restaurant in Punta Mita. A true professional and a keen golfer ! Viva Punta Mita
