Punta Mita prepares to celebrate the luxury real estate destination November 30 to December 3, 2017, with exclusive golf and culinary opportunities. Master Punta Mita developer DINE, along with The St. Regis Punta Mita, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and Riviera Nayarit Visitors and Convention Bureau today announce ticket sales for the seventh annual American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic. Hosted from November 30 to December 3, 2017, the event will highlight Punta Mita’s duo of world class Jack Nicklaus golf courses in tandem with unforgettable culinary opportunities from the industry’s most talented chefs, mixologists and sommeliers. The weekend celebrates all facets of the destination from renowned resorts and real estate properties to champion level golf, wine and cuisine in a way that only a destination like Punta Mita can offer.

On Thursday, November 30, 2017, Golf Digest will kick off the weekend with the Punta Mita Golf Challenge. Mexico’s own legendary golfers Lorena Ochoa along with world famous Craig Stadler will compete in a 4 hole event across Punta Mita’s Course Pacifico. Aeromexico will then present the Opening Night Dinner at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita where the resort culinary team welcomes Gourmet & Golf veteran Richard Sandoval, and Atlanta’s renowned Chef Ford Fry along with Riviera Nayarit’s very own Chef Betty Vazquez.

On Friday, December 1, a variety of day-long golf events will take place, with a special luncheon at the Kupuri Beach Club Punta Mita featuring Chefs Abraham Salum, Betty Vazquez and Mathias Fong. A special pre-dinner sunset cocktail will then take place at Four Seasons Punta Mita in a Private Villa with celebrity vegan Chef Leslie Durso. In the evening, dinner events will be hosted at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita (with dining options at Bahia and Aramara Restaurants featuring chefs Ford Fry and Nicolas Diaz), the Punta Mita Residences Beach Club and at Carolina at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort with Gourmet Awards Nominee Chef of the Future Jesus Duron for a contemporary Mexican cuisine extravaganza. Other guest chefs to be featured at the event include Andrew Ormsby, Marco Valdivia, Joaquin Cardoso, Miguel Navarro and Erik Guerrero.

The two-day golf event will conclude for tournament participants on Saturday, December 2 with the Punta Mita Golf Cup Prizegiving Luncheon to award the tournament winners, followed by Travel & Leisure’s beachside closing Gala Dinner at The St. Regis Punta Mita later that night, where Executive Chef Manuel Peruyero welcomes guests chefs Miguel Navarro visiting from The St. Regis Mardavall Palma de Mallorca and Chef Franck Steigerwald from The St Regis Bal Harbour. On Sunday December 3, Kupuri Beach Club will again host guests for a gourmet farewell brunch.

This year, the American Express Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic expands the experience to showcase Punta Mita’s exclusive real estate and residential offerings. The event honors every aspect of Punta Mita, from live cooking stations strategically located along both signature golf courses and Kupuri Beach Club to Friday night’s intimate dinner at the private residence Casa Palmasola followed by The St. Regis’ timeless tradition “Midnight Supper” at the Sea Breeze Beach Club.
